So You Want to Start a New Page but Don't Know How
Starting a new page can be a increbly hard task if you don't know what you're doing. So within this page, we attempt to teach you the basics of making, editing, and all the such. We're going to take baby step so you don't get lost. AND in case that you such get lost along the way, please see one of the web-masters so we can slap you with our uber-expensive laptops. Now without a further ado...How to START a WIKI
Make an Account
If you don't have an account yet, what's stopping you?!? This wiki does not take kindly to anonymous writers/editors. So lets give credit where credit is do, and just sign up for an account. It doesn't take too long. Probaly a minute... Anyways, if you're scared about your identity, don't worry, it's just a screen name.
Where's the NEW button
Unfortunately, there's is no NEW button. So how does one create a page like thing one? There are many ways to create a new page, but the easiest way that I can think of is bumping off of an existing page. Wiki-webpages already have software to help you craft your own personal website. So no experience is needed. Let's start off with an easy example of this.
Creating a WIKI profile
(Please do this only if you've crossed)
Normally the heading for your class will already have been made. If you want to be the first in your class to do so, do the following:
1) Go into the and click on the edit link in the top-middle tab.
2) In bold text write the quarter, year, and the name of your class name.
example: Fall 2006 Kate Westlake
3) On you WIKI-toolbar, right next to the italics button, you'll see the link to make an internal link. Click on it, it'll look something like this.
[[link]]
Write your name where is says " link "
4) After you have done so, save right after you're done. 5) Go back to Memberlist and click on your name, and you will enter another edit window. 6) Customize your page to your hearts delight.
From here on, you should be able to make page after page after page!
Some More Help
You'll quickly learn that there are commands that you can do to acquire a desire effect. If you're not comfortable using, then don't! But learning them quickly gives you and edge to fully customize you very own WIKI page. To learn these awesome commands, go here.
